Martin's partner in this walk is Barney's grandad Dave Stevens, born 15th February 1955 in Nottingham where he grew up becoming a lifelong Forest fan. He joined the Police force at 16 as a cadet serving in Nottingham. In 1973 he married Jo and they had their first child Suzanne in 1977. In 1978 Dave and his family transferred to Kent. A couple of years later in 1980 they had their second child Gaz. Dave went onto complete a further 26 years in the Kent police retiring in 2004 when he and Jo moved to Scunthorpe.
After pounding the beat for so many years walking this route should be a breeze but at 6'2" Dave's pace will have Martin working hard!
